We have been rolling out .NET 3.5 SP1 updates on some of our older servers to accommodate DNN 5.x.x. It appears domains hosted on IHOSTLLC13 IIS6 servers are experiencing various issues since it has been updated with the new .NET version. We believe some of the problems are related to .NET temporary assembly cache file locking.
As the result, we will be performing an emergency maintenance on IHOSTLLC13 at 1:00AM EST January 8th, 2009. The IIS service will be shut down for about 20 minutes. During that time we will purge entire temporary assembly cache folder to allow .NET to recompile all assemblies. We anticipate the service to resume by 1:30AM, however it will take several hours for the vbc and csc compilers to finish which may cause sluggish server response.
